The Family Support Provider 101 training and exam must be completed before attending a face-to-face training.

Our agenda for this training will address the definition of Family Peer Support, its principles and functions as well as documentation requirements, billing, technical assistance and support availability. At the end of the training you will be asked to complete and pass a post test to qualify for employment with a Family Support Program. The primary goal of this presentation is to create a common understanding of the family support provider program, its key principles and functions. The Division of Behavioral Health wanted to ensure that providers are aware of the key functions of the Family Support Program. For some individuals this may be a very new concept, while others may be familiar with the Family Support Provider Program. It’s important as we move forward that we all have a common understanding of the definition of the program as a whole, the distinctions between family and community support, as well as an understanding of the key principles and functions of the service.
